This is a defiant question that only a child of God may dare to ask. The answer is presupposed in the answer. None can be against us or truly harm us, not even death. We are secured because our life is hid in God in Christ (Col. 3:3). There is no reason to regard any opponent, great or small, human or demonic because of what they can do to us. We may be threatened, hard pressed on all sides, and even assailed, but we will not be destroyed. Regardless how weak, or inferior you may feel In face of oppression or an enemy, in Christ our inferiority becomes our superiority and no serious harm can come to us. In Romans 8: 32-39 Paul says,

He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, will not also give us all things with Him? Who shall bring any charge against Gods elect? Is it God who justifies; who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution or farming, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor death, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

We are unconditionally, totally and absolutely secured and will not be finally overcome whatever our situations may be. We are secured because the power of Christs resurrection is already at work in and on behalf of us. Thus, we are secured by the goal of the resurrection to which we have been appointed in Christ, and nothing will frustrate or prevent this goal from being realized. If God takes care of the sparrows, are we not, as Gods children, more valuable to God than sparrows? Fear not, therefore, you are more valuable than many sparrows (Mt. 10:31). Whoever is born of God overcomes the world through faith in Jesus Christ (1 Jo. 5:4). Faith gives us the victory that has been won by Christ whose love makes it impossible for anything in the universe, visible or invisible, to separate us from God. Not only do we triumph over afflictions and adversities, we triumph gloriously. We are essentially and absolutely secured. When Christ our life appears then we shall appear with Him in glory (Col. 3:3).
